Corporate Social Responsibility
In line with our values, Mytton Williams is committed to acting in a socially responsible manner at all times. Our aim is to incorporate ethical, environmental and sustainability considerations into our business practice. We regularly review our CSR practices to see where and how we can improve. Our business director, Sophie Williams, is responsible for our CSR policy which encompasses the following:

Ethics / business conduct
Employment
Health & Safety
Clients, Suppliers & Community
Environment

Employment:
Mytton Williams strives to be an Equal Opportunities employer and is committed to equal treatment of all employees  and applicants regardless of race, colour, national or ethnic origin, religious belief, gender, marital status, sexual orientation, disability or age. We monitor our employment practices and procedures to ensure that individuals are considered on the basis of their appropriate experience, skills and abilities.

The Environment
At Mytton Williams, we are committed to reducing our environmental impact on the planet. As we say in our Book of No.s, we believe in taking responsibility for the choices we make in our business and everyday lives.

Our environmental performance:
We have an environmental policy document which is updated annually. We measure our environmental impacts – including paper use, waste produced, recycling rate, CO2 emissions. We aim to improve our performance year on year. Working as a supplier of design services to the Environment Agency increases our understanding of the issues involved.

Greener printing choices:
We also provide information to help our clients make greener printing choices. Making an impact shouldn’t cost the earth. Selecting eco-friendly options as below can reduce the impact of print projects:

1. Certified paper stocks from  sustainable, well-managed forests.
2. Recycled paper with a high content of post-consumer  waste.
3. Reducing paper use and wastage (eg paper size and optimized sheets; digital printing for smaller runs).
4. Chlorine-free paper.
5. Use of UV, soy- or vegetable-based inks.
6. Aqueous-based coatings.
7. Waterless printing.
8. Paper merchants/mills with good eco-credentials (ISO 14001; FSC; EMAS).
